I have recently purchased some second hand M030 suspension from Tel: 0161 865 8841 ~ *PORSCHA-RECYCLED in Stretford Manchester and after closer inspection of the front suspension spring cups , they don't look original or correct for the M030 set up . looking at the pic can anyone advise if the M030 set up looks correct ? Thank best regards J.C

Doesn't look like 944 M030 to me.

The rears are Koni coilovers (but not m030) and the fronts 'look' like an aftermarket ride height kit has been added to a standard shock (maybe with a koni insert). Koni M030 are bright yellow all over

I would agree with Paul. M030 are all yellow so at best they are Koni MO30 spec but not actually supplied to Porsche at worst something else.

I wouldnt recommend just buying the dampers either. I only ever used to sell the dampers, hubs, brakes amd anti-roll bars together.

The fronts look like the M030 ones, although they have some "spurious" height adjutment going on,,, the large alloy "spacer" isnt part of the original kit. The springs i dont think are original either.
The rears i believe are from a 944 as i have exactly the same set in my garage. I think they were some sort of Porsche option, all be it a rare one....As they are double adjustable....Again i dont think they have the original springs fitted....
Im guessing the front struts are adj both top + bottom. NOT just the top as normal M030,s are....
Curious as to how much they were.??????

Hi Big Dave , thanks for your advice , they are M030 but like you can see they have been modified as they were removed from a 944 Turbo Cup race car , both front and rear are double ajustable bound and rebound , they have been painted black but still showing the yellow paint underneath and also have the part number on the front shocks 95134303134 . The only thing that seems different are on the front struts the top spring cup holders ? I paid £250 for all 4 , I know it's not alot and should not expect brand new M030 but just looking at the front legs do not look to save and I am thinking of changing the springs and cups ?

Yes i would see if you can get some standard [M030] top spring seats + springs...
But youl also have to do the same on the rears ,[to make a matching set],, as they will have stiffer springs fitted at present...

I have wondered how many sets of these there are around, it is surprising how many old turbo cup race cars are still in existence given the life span of a race car. Those rear shocks look a lot like koni racing units as sold by some outlets in the states, very expensive new ISTR.

I think the torsion bits are for sale on ebay from the same car:
