944 Turbo S/ SE spec

Just wondered if a genuine 944 Turbo S/ SE will show the M030 option on the options list inside the boot/ service booklet? Maybe an obvious question?

Also how does the M030 option on a 944 differ from that on a 968 CS? I gather they both have adjustable Koni's, an LSD and larger brakes. But does the 944 share the 968's adjustable roll bars?

Thanks in advance

The valving of the Konis from the 968 M030 spec is stiffer than that of the 944/951 M030 Konis.
Rear Konis on 968 M030 have additionnal springs.

Both SE and CS use the same callipers and same size front disk (304 x 32) but the CS discs have cast drillings in them.

Only CS M030 discs are drilled, not the ones with the standard suspension.
Also brake lines are different, but could not tell how ... [8|]

Yes the M030 option will be listed on the sticker/ service book as 030

The 944 M030 option has adjustable Konis that are ride height adjustable, stiffer springs, LSD and brake ducting through the front bumper. All 250 Turbos have the same anti roll bars and the larger brake disks and callipers from the 928S4

The 968 M030 also has adjustable Konis (not the same ones), a helper spring on the rear shocks and the different brakes, caster bushes and anti roll bars that Fen and John mentioned. I think the 17" cup wheels were part of the M030 package, but the LSD was an extra option, ie you can have M030 without LSD.

I'm sure 968 owners will correct us if wrong [:D]

Turbo S with number 758 ("Special model : 944 turbo S") may not have the 030 code as well.

All 250 Turbos have the same anti roll bars

At the rear they seemed to have 18 mm for '88 turbo S, 18 mm then 16 mm on '89 turbo (it changed in the middle of the model year) then 16 mm on '90 and '91 turbo.
