Hi Guys

Anyone down here in the Tees Valley used Car Tech Care ? Always used Tom Ferguson for all my old cars but it's a fair hike up to Gateshead since I moved down to near Darlington

Cheers

Alastair

Hi Alastair,

I used to go to Redline Racing in Stockton for my 911 but living in Northumberland it's a bit of a hike. We used to drive south quite regularly and would drop it off and carry on in our other car and pick it up a few days later. It worked well. I found to be reliable and knowledgeable. They're on one of the industrial estates near the A19 Ingleby..... turnoff. Give them a call.

Regards

Rob

Alastair,

I take all my cars to Jamie at Nelson Porsche in Stockton.

Address: 35 Skinner St, Stockton-on-Tees TS18 1EG Phone: 01642 670766

Unfortunatley he is always busy.

Another shout for Jamie Nelson. He has serviced all my Porsches and is very knowledgeable.

As noted Jamie is always busy so you have to book a long way in advance. As he is a one man business he rarely answers the phone so it's best to visit to book your car in.

Don't expect OPC levels of cleanliness.

Drive safe

John

Hi there - I've used Jamie Nelson before so can also recommend. However I recently got my 991.2 serviced at AHRS Porsche Specialist. He is based in Eldon Industrial estate near Bishop. I believe "Alan" used to be at Redline (but maybe wrong). www.ahrsporschespecialist.co.uk Email is Alan@ahrsporschespecialist.co.uk mobile 07719911911 (love his phone number ha ha). He is on facebook and I also think from the reviews that some other club members have used him.

I can recommend Alan at AHRS too. He knows his stuff. He was a Carrera Cup mechanic with Redline Racing.

Over the last 33 years or so I've tried most of the independents including most of those mentioned above but for the past 8 years or so I've been using Falcon Engineering at South Bank, Middlesbrough. They don't specialise in Porsche but they are extremely knowledgeable and fully understand the older cars with their main Porsche technician being trained at Charles Ivey in London. They are well trusted in the area and usually have some exotica in including looking after the extensive car collection of a certain Earl who lives in North Yorkshire. I've always found them to be reliable, hence my long association with them, they don't do unnecessary work and the prices are very competitive. If you are interested the number is 01642 469732 and speak to Steve Crawford.
