944 turbo S2

I am looking to upgrade my front discs and pads with drilled/grooved/vented anyone recommend any particular make or have had a good experience when upgrading? Am looking for direct replaced no other mods required.

Road or track use? If its road then I think most people will say stick with stock and make sure everything is working as it should.

ETA: If the brakes on the car are in decent nick (as in, pads and disks still have reasonable wear left on them) and it's not sharp enough then you need to be looking at the circuit. When was the fluid last changed, and when was it recently bled? If neither of these have been done in the last 2 years then I'd start there.
 
Change your pads to something more grabby,and maybe check your fluid.They should be great brakes if all working fine.I can stand my car on its nose,it has standard discs!

944 Turbo, or 951.

S2 means Series 2, as opposed to series 1 which is the early-dash model.

With regards to braking - if the OP has a 250bhp car, then surely the brakes are more than man enough for the job? Are you sure that theyre working properly?
 
You guys are cruel! If its a turbo all you need to know is whether it has the bigger M030 option brakes or regular size. Easiest way to tell is the thickness of the disks. M030 disks are 32mm thick so very obviously thicker than a normal disk.

Which ever brakes you have I very much doubt you'd be complaining if they were working properly so I'd get them re-furbished first. Then think about upgrading.

New discs wont get you sharper braking. These things don't have over-servo'd on/off brakes like newer cars so you do have to stamp on the brakes harder and you will get longer brake travel. This gives you impression the brakes are not sharper - but you just need to stamp on them more. There is more than enough braking performance if your set up is in good working order. If you want better cold bite ditch any aftermarket fast road/performance pads if you have them and install standard pads or equivalents. Make sure you have fresh brake fluid and they are well bled and all the brake lines are in good nick.
 
These brakes will stand the car on its nose! As Mark says: get some grabbier pads and ensure that everything else is working properly.
