944 turbo thottle overhaul, kit or refurbisher contact?

Hi,

While investigating a fast idle when engine warm issue I found engine oil leaking out of the throttle position switch when I pulled off its plug. From what I've read this probably means the O rings on the throttle plate spindle are worn out.

But I can't find any overhaul kits for sale on the internet.

Alternatively is there a company who overhauls the throttle assembly?

Does anyone have any contacts for either of the above?

Thanks

Paul

According to the web Arnworx is now under new ownership, they are due to open for business this month. Try contacting them here

In regards to the throttle body kit, well worth getting. When I overhauled mine all of the seals literally disintegrated on stripdown. IIRC the kit includes two sets of seals, one for road and one for race, the race set giving a better seal, I fitted the race set.

I received an email back from Edgar, who seems to have taken over Arnworx. They have no kits for sale.

Maybe someone here has a kit for a car they no longer own, I'd happily pay any fair price for the kit?

i wonder if waylander (Martin) could sort something out ? even knowing the right size seals ?

i can’t remember if i’ve done mine or need to , but i’d also be interested in resealing my throttle body

I found two UK companies that refurbish throttle bodies not specially those for just 944s:

Actronics
ATC drivetrain.

Does anyone have experience of either firm?
