944 tyres in glasgow - any recommendations?

I have a day out booked for Sunday, and just managed to get a puncture in my rear passenger side tyre "¦ so I need to find a local tyre place to get some decent rubber in a hurry. Tomorrow, basically.

Any suggestions for places in Glasgow or nearby?

Also, any suggestions for what tyres I should be asking for? It's to fit a '89 944 Turbo with the lightweight (wide) D90s. 16", I believe. The current tyres are 245/45 ZR 16.

Performance Tyres, Carmunnock & Paisley speak to the Carmunnock place 0141 644 4512. They usually have a good stock selection/reasonable price and are open all day Saturday

Cheers guys"”I couldn't find anybody with tyres in stock, so Performance Tyres are going to sort me out on Monday.

I'll have to use the Lux this weekend instead.

Perf Tyres Anniesland are excellent, and happy to do a fit-only service too ~ they recently fitted a couple of internet-purchased tyres for me (I gave them the chance to provide tyres too, but they couldn't compete on that particular brand).

One of the Glasgow OPC guys was in getting some new boots on a 997C4 ~ via discussion it appears that PT Anniesland do all of their tyre work. (I'm sure the OPC won't charge you £1million per hour for that though eh?)

That's interesting to know!

Performance Tyres were great today: Turned up at my home for half-nine, fitted the exact tyres I wanted, and were away by quarter-past ten. Nice!

One of the Glasgow OPC guys recommended a place in Troon for my Boxster that I cant remember the name of but there cant be too many independent tyre places in Troon. Significantly cheaper apparently.
