944 valuation

I can do one, but it's not officialy official. [&:]

You can download the form for the Club valuation from the website, under "about PCGB" go to help and advice, then valuations. Steve is insurance-approved, and his valuations aren't open to dispute from the insurers at a later stage.

It's a free service to Members, and worth the membership alone if a claim is needed. [:)]

Hmm thats interesting paul... since most 944's are modified in some way or another is this taken into account or just a valuation according to model, condition etc etc?

AFAIK Steve can value anything, no matter how specific. There are a couple of cars with ridiculously high valuations just because they are in good condition. There are plenty of modified cars in the Club of all models, so as long as the insurers know they are covering a modified car they'd have to accept a valuation based on the modifications.

This matters more if you haven't got an agreed value. Insurers don't seem to pay out for the labour and parts you've put into a car, hence people buying the salvage back so often in order to cover some of their losses. Join the Club and get a free valuation, it's the only way to know that you'll get a decent payout in the event of a total loss claim. Which they nearly all are now. []

Err.. thanks Paul btw I am in the club, have been so since buying the car nearly 12 years ago...:)

I'm assuming Steve needs to see the car, I'm sure most will agree ( those who know the car) my car is in very good condition. A past concours winner when I was into that type of thing , making best in classs and best in show.. oh and not forgetting AFN Porsche offering to buy the car from me if I ever wanted to sell it...[:)][:)]

Lol - I didn't mean you! I was talking to the non-members, who don't join and then moan when they are offered £4.50 by their insurers.....and I won't help them by negotiating with the insurer on their behalf. [:'(] Tipec also do valuations, it's very shortsighted not to have an agreed-value policy in these days of insurers downvaluing claims.

You only need to fill in the form from the website, and send in photos. Of course, it needs to be accurate or the insurer would be able to wriggle out of the valuation. No use declaring it as A1 condition if it's a rusty shed with a wrecked interior. Not yours, Pete, of course. [:D]
