944 wont start! no spark from plugs. Help!!

Hi everyone new to site and hope someone can help me, have a 1983 944 lux 2.5 that was running fine last year but had it under cover since October. I am getting no spark from plugs i have changed the coil distributor cap and leads but still nothing! It had an immobilizer on the car which we removed last weekend to see if that was causing the problem but still nothing.
Has anyone got any ideas what it could be? as its driving me round the bend now [:mad:]
 
1. does the tacho needle bounce when cranking?
2. have you replaced the DME relay with a bridge?
3. Google Clark's Garage - youll find all that you need there.
