I've bought a 944S and i'm trying to figure out some of the option codes to understand what I've got before I start working on it in earnest. Most I've been able to track down but three of them are persistently unclear:
  • C48 - I know this is a country code, but which one? I've seen one site which said it's Hong Kong, but others say that's C15. Does anyone know what code C48 and what the standard equipment for it would be?
  • E38 - no clue
  • F00 - again no clue
The car has club sport wheels, no airbag or ABS. Any insight is appreciated.

I would take your Chassis number into your local Porsche dealer spares Dept, the system they use can pull up all the details about your car

as your going there for a few clips and other bits,

as a rule always check with your OPC for spares before you get ripped off on ebay, most of the time OPC is cheaper

OPC = Official Porsche Centre

As a club member you can order a free certificate of authenticity which may answer your questions.

No longer available since October this year, I think Porsche have been re-issuing old codes to new options and causing chaos on certificates, heard tales of 914's with factory sat nav and LED lights etc, well that type of mistake !

cheers, Paul
