Anyone ever found the location of the drainage points in the underbonnet tray below the windscreen .Not sure what you call it but where all the leaves and mud collects next to the heater matrix and wiper motor . I have some serious misting and reckon I might have a leak through the bulkhead under the dash

The drains are either side into the inner wings. There is mastic seal around the heater fans and various rubber grommets that could allow water into the interior. Other leak points are sunroof seal or drain tubes, the rear side windows, tail lights, rear hatch seal, door cards if door drains are blocked.

whereabouts exactly ? thats what I am trying to ascertain. I had a thorough cleanout and search last night but couldn't see any drain holes. Are they holes or elongated splits ? are they at the junction of the raised reinforcement channels running along each side of the engine bay that the wings fix to ?[:D]

They are elongated slits along the outer edge of the bulkhead immediately below the points where the bonnet struts are attached. The drivers side is about 2 inches wide, the passenger side is 1 inch. Pour a bucket of water on the windscreen with the bonnet up and you will see straightaway (unless they are blocked with crud and leaves).

I think that's exactly where they are*. As I recall there is a join between the scuttle panel and the inner wing, and the inner wing part of it drops along this join to as to create a gap which is hard to see as the scuttle part just looks flat, and that is the drain.

The hole is between the fusebox and the wing on that side. There is little to stop water getting in over the fusebox hole if it isn't draining properly.

*I could be confusing this with some other car as it's a while since I looked.

thanks chaps thats a good description. My scuttle is so full of crud I cannot see anything. I'll get a torch out and have good search tomorow[:D]
