944S2 rear hatch lock adjustment

My hatch has been playing up for months. its got so bad that I had to wait for a passerby to lift the hatch whilst I pressed the release button. (key lock doesn't work)

Last weekend the weather was fine and my battery needed charging so I decided to sort the hatch locks once and for all.

When I managed to get the hatch open I found the cause of the problem wasn't the hatch bolts sticking in the lock wells or weak hatch struts it was the cable adjustment on the motor drive.

I operated the mechanism (propped a brolly against the switch) and noticed that there was some slight play in both of the lock operating cables where they attach to the central pivot plate with `L' shaped clips.
I adjusted the lock nuts on the cable adjustment bolt to remove all the play so that when the motor was triggered the slightest movement of the motor pivot started the locks opening.

Now my hatch pops up every time
