944T Expansion Tank

I'm having difficulty determining the level of coolant in the tank visually, other than removing the cap. Mainly I think because the tank is mucky on the inside. Is it possible to clean the tank without removal, but if removal is necessary can anyone offer any advice on "how to"?

The main problem will be that the plastic has deteriated and gone opaque, you could try the following

Fill with bi-carbonate of soda and lemonade, and let soak for 24hrs min
Put in the dishwasher

Purchase a new one from OPC for £54.00

It makes a world of difference to the engine bay.

yeah i saw someone who had a brand new one and it makes the whole bay look so much cleaner! Theres another job to add to the list.....
