Brilliant! - do you want to look after my car for me?

Can you just replace them as you go? I had all the front ones done at the last belt change, where it's parts cost only pretty much, for instance.

Will it damage the car if I drive it without replacing them immediately providing I keep the oil level up. The pressure is very good at the moment.
Can't see how, unless you either do a long enough drive to leak out too much oil or get a catastrophic leak like a 996/Boxster RMS total failure, which I've never heard of on a 944.
All 944s use oil, hence the reminder to "check oil" on the fuel filler flap. I'd want to replace anything that's worn or leaking at some point, as it's only adding a problem, but you need to weigh up the cost against the odd drip on the drive.

I've never known an oil leak on a 944 bad enough to cause a problem. Id focus on more important things like making sure the belts and rollers have been recently changed and if all is well. Enjoy until it needs something important and tidy up small jobs like seals in the area as you go.
its too easy to spend money for moneys sake on a 20 year old car. Better to take it to a garage who are familiar with working on the 944

(The cost includes new belts and water pump whilst it was being done, although the belts were only a year/5k miles old)
