951 vs. Esprit Turbo vs. 308GTS

There is also 944 vs 911 turbo Here and 944 vs 328GTS here.
I also remember reading an article about the later 944T that says you could have an Esprit Turbo and a Golf GTI for the same price. Its not suprising they were quite rare towards the end -around 150 in 1990 a few less in 91, makes me wonder how many are actually left now.

Nice one, they make excellent reading - I hadn't really appreciated, or more likely forgotten, the sort of cars the 944 was pitted against when new [8D]

Does anyone know of any such articles on the S2?

Yep, I've got a couple of books with all the old magazine roadtests for the 944. Its called 'Porsche 944 Ultimate Portfolio' from Brookland Books. In there is an S2 v Nissan 300ZX from Autosprt 1991,and also an S2 v Mazda RX7 from Performance car 1990.

Also an S v Renault Gta Turbo from Autocar 1987, very interesting reading
