958 Cayenne Diesel - brake and pad renewal

Expecting to need new pads and discs all round v shortly. Has anyone recently had this done (on a V6 Diesel) by a Porsche Centre, and if so, what did it cost?

Mine goes for a service at the end of this month and expect I'll be told it needs some. From memory in another forum someone mentioned OPC quoted over £1000, but they got it down to about £950? Can't remember where I saw that to revisit it.

When we had a 997.2 OPC quote was a lot, again £1k mark. Spoke with my trusted Indy and using Porsche parts (car was under warranty) they could do it a bit cheaper - they said big issue was price of Porsche parts. I may again explore what their price would be compared to the OPC, as I do trust them, may even look at whats needed to do it myself. I did quickly look at parts and they were not cheap! My servicing will be OPC (although Indy is cheaper) to keep book stamped and avoid any issues.
 
In October 2015, I paid £1450 for discs and pads for front and rear. 2 OPC's quoted almost £1600 and then one 'sharpened their pencil a little." Also had a couple of quotes from Indy's but the cost of parts meant that it wasn't much cheaper so opted for the OPC.
 
I have never had any complaint about after market pads .Discs I have never changed
but are yours that bad ? Even if they are a bit worn how much braking efficiency is lost ?

Thanks Kevin, I really hope I don't need them, but the discs do wear and as I want the warranty (peace of mind, etc), I'll have to accept a disc change if outside Porsche's prescribed wear limits. Can't even dream of aftermarket pads - however better some can be - as P are renown for their pedantry on the warranty compliance. (There are plenty of daft things rejected - like the Road Angels dealers used to fit, then found Porsche disapproved; or radiator-protecting mesh, only fitted to the GT3. Wouldn't be surprised if, for example, a tail-gate related claim got rejected by someone having fitted after-market sun visors; or a wipe-motor claim got rejected because one of the wheel centre-caps wasn't a Porsche one! Compared those, fitting non-OEM brakes/pads would be a heinous crime!)

Do PCGB members still get some discounts of fixed prices and parts at OPC?
 
At the last service I was told I would need discs and pads at the next service and it would be around £2k to change all 4 discs and pads on my 2012 m/y 3.0 Diesel Cayenne.
My pad warning light came on the other day so I checked my options. Eurocarparts offered Pagid or Brembo. I have a high regard for Brembo (Italian) brakes from my motorcycling days so happy to go with them. (Pagid or ATE may be oe fitment). The parts cost about £620 including 4 wear sensors but I got lucky with a 1 day 30% off deal so paid £433 all-in incl VAT.
My local garage are happy to fit them and couldn't match the £620 let alone £433!
 
Mike have you a 3 year warranty ?Thought it was 2 unless it has changed.
Furthermore if you put Brembro stuff on the car they are hardy likely to look
at brakes if the engine blows up ?
Check your local VW outlet I find quite a few VW bits are the same and half the price
Look at wiper blades for a start.I would guess the KN and Toureg have same brakes ?

 
I know mine is an older petrol, but for information, was charged £1500 by OPC for complete set of disks and pads all round last April.
