964(3.6)T Prices from 1993 Fast Lane Mag

I have recently tracked down a clean copy of "˜Fast Lane' Magazine from April 1993 containing articles on the "˜then' new, 964, 3.6 T and a review on Porsche's 4nr 1992 IMSA Challenge winning cars.

The four page article entitled "Out with a Bang" features a Yellow 3.6 T and pulls no punches over the brutal nature of this car "" particularly if you are unfortunate enough to"¦"lift-off or relax the peddle slightly in second gear whilst in a corner, which will be interpreted as much the same thing".

Anyway"¦.this informative article closes with a statement about price which has caused some discussion on this forum from time to time. It states the price is "unchanged against the previous models (3.3) at £72,294.00".

Using the web http://www.measuringworth.com/ukcompare/result.php# I calculate the relative worth of £72,294 in 1993 (using RPI as the basis for comparison) which suggests that in 2007 the car was valued at £106,154.86.

Andrew,

Any chance you could scan and post the article here?

Hi Steve,

Will scan and 'post' by the end of the week, mag is on my Dorset office desk and I'm away from home for the next few days.

Regards

Andy,

If you would like to e-mail the article to me I'll happily put it on the 964uk.com web site. You'll get me on 964@porscheclubgb.com.

Regards

Dave
