964 3.6 turbo prices

I need some help in pricing... I am currently the proud owner of a Carrera 3.2 and am in the process of "upgrading" to a 964 Turbo2 3.6. I have found a few so far, but the prices seem to vary enormously, eg Autobahn Coventry currently have one priced at about £47k admittedly it has only done 14,000 miles, seems pricey. There has been one in Thames V Trader for many weeks, on line with only one owner and 8,000 miles, this one is up for £38k, but remains unsold (imported from Dubai, originally S African car, but RHD). Bob Watson? mentioned to me he knew of a clean black one sold in Feb time for £32k this had only 28,000 miles (private sale). All these are RHD. I have contact with a car becoming available at the end of the month with 36,000 miles and a good history by the sound of it, based on above and your knowledge what would be a fair value? its metalic silver, standard trim.
Look forward to your suggestions
Thanks
Mike

As you quite rightly say..these cars are becoming very scarce.I have been looking around for one recently and quite by chance stumbled accross the car at Autobahn. Looks like a lovely car in an unusual shade but very expensive. Did you notice the 19" wheels?

I would say you'll need to spend £40,000 for a nice one. Interestingly I had a 3.6 from Dubia about 3-4 years ago...one of the best cars I've owned...The car you refer to isn't Pearl white by any chance?

I am amazed at the sheer lack of preparation a lot of these specialists dont undertake. I've looked at lot of cars that just need a damn good clean and little else.

Happy hunting

Bruv, it could well be your old car because one thing I learned when I went to pastures new all those years ago, I wanted take the Cobra out there but they do not allow right hand drive cars in Dubia, it's the law.

p.s. your right about the amount of badly presented cars for sale by so called Porsche specialist.

Sorry to be away for a while (went to Le Mans Classic, brilliant) The car from Dubia is white although apparently owned by the Sultan and came back to UK with zero miles. The current dealer has added the 8,000 miles (now apparently 9,000 with a couple of curb scabs on the wheels!) £40,000 seems like a lot, thats almost into 993 turbo territory, maybe thats a better option?

Thanks for your comments

Mike
