964 Alarm/immobilizer

Hi, can anyone help me with what alarm system is fitted on my 964. It has a Hamilton and Palmer key type fob that bleeps when you insert it. I have a rocker switch on the left side of the lower panel which according to my hand book switches off the ultrasonic sensors.
I can only lock the car with the key in the door. I have never had a remote fob and don't know if the car is set up for one. The car is a 1991 964 Targa. [8|]

What you have is the standard UK-fit alarm system from H&P. It was not offered, AFAIK, with a remote locking facility although can, I believe, be upgraded to include it.

I have a 1992 964 Coupe and I understand that the H & P alarm is a a standard device fitted by the importers before the cars are sold. I fried the alarm system by leaving the battery charger on boost by mistake. It was replaced by a local specialist (from Norwich) with a Cobra system which incorporates remote door locking with the key fob, which also switches the imobilisor on and off.

I have been very happy with it.
