964 Cabriolet rear window repair

Hello,

Due to the recent nice weather I have had the roof down on the 964 but noticed the rear window has separated from the stitching at the top corner (photo attached). Is there any recommended repair without replacing the whole roof? I am located in Fife Scotland and would ideally like it repaired locally. I have seen replacement rear window sections on Design911 but based on some google research/forum threads its not a straight forward repair...

Appreciate any feedback/advice...
Thanks
Andrew

To repair/replace the rear window they need to take the roof of the car and replace you are looking at £5/600. Unless you drive regularily in the wet I would suggest making a local repair and leaving until you need a new roof.

Gordon, thanks for the feedback. The car is only driven on dry days, but you can never guarantee the Scottish weather. I'll see what I can do in terms of a minor repair and will look for the best local option to replace the rear window. If anybody has any recommendations, that would be appreciated.

You could try this company has good reputation but not sure if they do hood repairs worth a call

There are a few firms that would repair the rear window stitching. Trimline at Livingston for one. As the 964 has a two piece hood it would be possible to renew the back half if this was justified on wear or condition grounds. I'm sure Monsoon in the UK could supply a rear hood section. Re stitching would obviously be the cheaper option.
Given this by one owner who had 964 .
