Hi new to forum. My Targa is currently outside with near side window down. Unfortunately no intermediate piece in the tool kit.
do I need to source the part or can I buy a tool locally and use it?
is it a Torx or Allen key.
if I need to buy the correct part any details of where I can purchase in the UK.

thanks for your assistance in advance

I don't think there is anything for the door window only the sun roof, chances are its the motor or wiring! you have to take the trim off.

may be worth checking the wiring running through the door into the inner wing. If your pass door check strap is broken this can stretch the wiring within the rubber collar when door is open beyond the normal degree.
just a thought ? Cheers, Nick.

The intermediate part is looks like a straight 4mm Allen key. The one in the tool kit has a 6mm hex adapter that enables it to be driven by the "crank tool". I reckon you'll need quite a long reach to engage with the mechanism. When I tried to use it was because the window failed in the closed position and I was never able to get the tool to engage with the mechanism. The problem turned out to be electrical, related to the auto closure aspect of the central locking, and I later discovered that with the window open it would have been possible to use the tool to close it.

Thanks to all for responses. I wiil purchase 4mm key to get the window closed and then look at switches naw wiring
