Hi my front hood has recently fallen off quite easily.
I've order them online but have no idea how to install them myself, heard that it's not a hard thing to do,
any technical information can be suggested?

thanks!

Hi these are not to bad to do first prop up the bonnet, take the clip off the top pin, take care not to let it jump into the darkness! you need a long bar or large screwdriver to flick the bottom of the strut off the ball you can then take the top pin out and remove the strut. You will then know how to fit the new one its a job to see the ball at the bottom that you have to snap the strut onto. Hope this helps Berny.

I did mine some years back and did lose one of the clips so may be worth having a selection of circlips on hand just in case. I did luggage and engine bays and found the engine bay more difficult. I seem to remember attaching the bottom end first was best.

Long arms help!

Rgds,
Kevin.

thank you. i've looked at mine today, i reckon the right hand side has a lot of wires and stuff, it seems quite hard to locate the ball join part :(

I found this so called 'easy' job a real bitch bo do and almost had a fit until I bought a 14in flat screwdriver, then it took me minutes to do. "The right tool saves real time" ... that's my new motto of sorts.
