When did that stop then Steve?
It was mentioned in the members only section of the forum earlier this year but maybe there's been a U turn if it's now mentioned on the main website (as tscaptain mentions above)?

Whether you go to the Club, an indie, or self-cert your valuation, it's going to need updating if prices change significantly.
I wonder if people have monthly updates to their valuation when the prices are dropping? []

I just renewed with Lockton and I had to get an 'official' valuation done. The specialist who look after my car, JZM, knocked me one up, for free, which was acceptable to them.
^^^ as above - my specialist indy (Dove House) were happy to provide a valuation FOC.

What was the valuation Colin?

I presume you have to take your car to HQ to get it valued?
I think they just need some pics & info & a form to fill out, best call club office & ask what is required

The valuation was free!!!
JZM get quite excited about rebuilds, retrims and repaints, due to the sort of cars they sell, in order to give the biggest valuations. History is of great importance too.
My engine was rebuilt at around 120K, so only 35K miles ago, but that was too long ago for them. There is nothing wrong with the engine, so I won't be dropping £6-8K on a rebuild any time soon. I won't be spending £5K on a retrim, because it isn't going to really improve my driving experience, although replacing the drivers side bolster leather panel & a recolonisation are not beyond the realms of possibility. The bodywork is getting sorted as I go along, it's going in tomorrow for some ongoing restoration work.
Mine is a good honest car will a comprehensive history & is valued as such, but it's nowhere near the £30s to £40s that have been bandied about for the very best low mileage cars.

That's a neat way of avoiding answering David's question but good to see you are going to re-colonise your 964-after all ,why should the Germans have it all their own way.[]
I just wish I could re-colonise our Guards Red 964 C2-but sadly until our properties sell,it's 924S's or nout[&o]

Values are getting sillier by the day. There's currently a C4 coupe on PH classifieds for £45K.

Steve, that is a really nice, no expense spared car though. It was at Spa with us last year

Agree it's nice and have read a lot about it but £45K is too much for any regular 964 IMHO.
