For those of you intending going to the TiPEC Walton Hall day on the 17th July please note that Ken Chambers - PCGB 964 Register Secretary - has arranged a 964 parking area. When you arrive on site at Walton Hall please make sure you tell the parking attendants to direct you to the 964 area. If you don't mention it you will be directed to the general Porsche parking area.

Looking forward to seeing lots of 964s.

Regards

Well..... I've just got back from Walton Hall, feeling more than a little bit miffed.

It was a pretty good gathering, as last year, but for me at least I felt the parking left a considerable amount to be desired. It was publicised that the parking would be "by model" and I was additionally assured that there would be some specific 964 parking. Well - there wasn't!! And parking "by model" meant all 911s together!!!! In fact, anything that resembled a 911 shape was put in the same compound with 70's 912s rubbing shoulders with last week's 997s!!!

I went with the intention of meeting many 964 owners - and I couldn't bloody FIND them - much less meet them!!! So, Raymond, Gordon and Rob, I apologise.

They went to the trouble of isolating 924s, 928s, 944s, Cayennes (were there any??) and Boxsters but obviously didn't feel the need to seperate early 911s/912s, later air-cooled and water cooled cars. I can understand it's too much trouble to be more specific - but at least that discrimination would have been better.

OK - rant over, but I'm going to think twice about going next year.

Regards

Dave

That's a shame -we had a nice little 964 display last year.....

Rest assured all the 964's will be together at the PORSCHE CLUB FESTIVAL!! [:D]
