Linen leather is merely a description of the colour - not the texture. It's a very light beige colour.
Fuel consumption varies a lot, depending on how you drive. Reckon on 25-ish for "normal" everyday driving. Like any car, it's better on long runs with lots of top gear use, probably nearer 20 around town. 15-ish or less on a track day.
With a 964, unless you are using it every day for commuting you are better off getting it insured on a "classic" policy. There is no "no claims" discount on classic policies (you can use it for your everyday car). I pay around £370 for my C4 on a 5000 mpa agreed value policy with Carole Nash. Have a chat to some of the insurers who advertise in PP.
Hope that hekps.

I used Norwich Union- I'm 43, only partial no claims as its my second car, but 13K miles p.a and business use included. Cost £700 for a turbo! Pretty good I thought but I had to upgrade the security to Thatcham 1.

What's 'hot film'? (my idea might be different!!)
Mark,
It's a slightly more sophisticated form of air flow measurement. The "barn door" mechanism used on the 964 is fairly basic and the "hot film" (or hot wire) systems are somewhat more accurate and give more potential for more accurate DME programming.
