Mel,

a) Why will he regret it,

b) Did you get my mail re Spa garage space?

a) I have lost count now of ex-RS owners who regret selling their cars -some in fact trying to buy them back!!

b) PM'd you.

Mel

Kevin, you would love a 964RS in your stable.....real back to basics no nonsense 911 driving with all the THRILLS.........[;)] And an investment, honest..

ORIGINAL: Scutt

I may end up with both cars and have best of both worlds, I had
thought about a Mk1 GT3 but have spoken to a couple of owners who
have sold and gone back to 964 RS.

Out of all the 40 odd cars I have owned including single seaters
the RS has to be the most enjoyable and rewarding car to drive
.

GT magazine summed it up this month.. the 964 RS is a car for today..

Damned right it is.

Paul Scutt

So the RS is staying Scutt?

It's a drug I'm a 964RS Junkie!

ORIGINAL: ClubSport 911

I'm interested in the Clubbie....

Steve

Surely your not selling the 3,2 CS so either your poverty pleadings are false, or you just won the lottery / robbed a bank.

Scutty, keep the RS and sell the fat heavy Essex Boy Turbo.......30K does seem a very very good price for someone, would put it much higher as a ClubSport!! Steve grab it while you can.........[;)]

Well..that remains to be seen, but the piccies Paul has sent have tempted me a lot. Its more of what I have.

And at least I will not have to worry about the carpet needing any replacement !

Oh yes - I'm interested all right

Woah, sanity check. Are we talking about the C5 POR, the car that has been featured in numerous magazines, described as "mint" by an OPC mechanic during an open day clinic and photographed by TIPEC and voted as driver's choice? The same car that would have won several concours awards would it not have been for it's limited mileage? probably the most photographed car at national and local car shows (mine being second, but only because I park next to it)? And the car that Tuthills have been paid so much to 'sort' that they have been able to run their African rallies every year since you first bought it?

I tell you what - I'll sell my car (possibly) and buy C5 POR. Then when you come to your senses I might be pursuaded to sell it back to you. It will have been 'driven' and I won't Zymol it nearly as much. I might 'take' the missus in it (oo-er). But I guarantee you will want it back.

No disrespect, but a modified 964 RS would look worse (wrapped around you) than those 70's shirts and bowling shoes that you continue to wear. [8D]

And, if you go any further in these discussions I'll post embarrassing photos of you on the forum - strap on donkeys spring to mind. [:)]

Get real! [8|]

The Red Scutty ClubSport is an original 964RS ClubSport one of 150 ever made, not seen the car myself but would think at £30K would not hang around for very long, as to modified there is hardly a 964RS that has not had a tweek or two to unleash those hidden horses...I'm sure the 3.2 ClubSport is a fine example...the RS has to be the right move...

than those 70's shirts and bowling shoes that you continue to wear.

Oh dear....and there was I thinking I was a graduate from some form of "changing rooms" type TV program...[;)]

Good advice on the clothes maybe, but how does this help me quench my thirst ?

Agreed it is a collectable car and sounds like a bargain price but not something you would swap a museum piece for, especially if you were the curator.
Try taking yours over 65mph if you want to appreciate it a bit more. [:)]

Ask Mitchie if she can find some Don Johnson shirts in the local charity shop. [:D]

Sounds like someone needs to go see some other cars to appreciate their own - that familiar old story!!

Love the RS but sell the Clubbie?

YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS!![8D]

I'm not sure any standard RS left the factory with 260bhp. Most unmolested ones seem to be doing 270+ and they normally get to 280+ with a few little mods. But you'll never get them above 300 without changing the injectors because of flow rates, apparently.

Remapping is a good thing.

266.1 lb ft Torque found to be fantastic figure with AMD Chip/remap etc.........will be organising another Dyno Day as per last year.
