Stuart has asked me to post this message, his 964 rs clubsport is for sale, comes with original mags and bbs wheels,

Worth every penny and I bet it sells. And, I believe, the original Motronic comes with the car too i.e. the better ECU. Damen
 
Damen is correct, the car comes with the Original Motronic etc (i.e everything to put the engine back to standard). This is a special car, great provenance and extensive history documented for work done both in Germany and the UK. Fantastic opportunity here. 1 of 4 Mint Green Clubsports I believe...1 other in the UK, 1 in Japan and I think the other resides in Germany. Somebody try and keep it in the UK !!
 
As an owner of one of the other 3, can any one substantiate the numbers by colours of clubbies? I've only seen ads for the one in Japan, heard of one that raced with mine, and seen Stuart's above. I'd be a little suprised if there weren't a couple more. Good luck to Stuart with the sale
 
If you tot up what we've spent keeping them in the finest fettle, I hope they are as "special" as they feel [:)] £80k definitely. £90k possibly. £100k ? Well Stuart, surely you would only sell it to somebody who wanted it more than you [;)][:D] Jason, out of touch ?? You certainly wouldn't turn away the cash ... and there are some very special buyers for the very special cars ...
 
I only said Holy 4 star, how does that make me out of touch? Looking forward to putting my RSR up for £150k when it's finished[:D] [:D][:D] god knows I need the pennies! If I had 100k spare atm I know what I'd be buying but I'll keep that to myself. Sure this is a lovely car and when euro drops back down I'm sure/hope it sells :) you gotta love 'very special people' [:D][:D]
 
Hugh, I'd love to know the answer to that one! Talk over the past few years suggests there are only 3. I have all 3 on my database but I don't think for a second that I've got them all! I do have photos of another few cars, 1 of which looks like a clubbie (correct cage etc). I have previous reg numbers for yours and Stuart's and the other car I know of is in Japan, so I have no reg numbers for that. Any info or photos would be very interesting. [:)]

Yes, a good Cup will be cheaper. But a Cup virgin? I know of only one, it´s a 1992 monkey bum red car and was offered in Essen by Ande Votteler....maybe you saw that one, too. There was no price tag, but I know he´s asking way more than 100k EUR. And 100K in your currency for a perfect car? Average RSs sold in Essen for ?, tag said 89k EUR, so prob for 85k sold. And three offers only, all the same price, one with the sold sign, one gone after the first day (prob sold,too), don´t know about the third one. 100k for sure is a barrier, but it will be broken soon. At least by special RSs, like virgins, low milers or good history. I never really understood why history is such a big part of the price, but obviously it is. Good luck with the sale, I think, you better keep it! Rgds, Hacki
 
Jason, the price may be a bit toppy [;)] But wouldn't you want a car like that to go to somebody who would love it forever ? Hacki, I agree, it's good to see these car valued. And selling. Anybody recall when damaged £25k RS' weren't worth repairing ?
 
I'd love it to but think it will no doubt go as an investment and not be used if someone pays that sort of money. We can but hope. I wish everyone used their cars like you do Chris.... Although tracking them does add up cost wise!
 
So if Stu's 72k km clubbie were to be worth £100k, what would be a comparable valuation for my 97k km mint condition Ferrari Gelb RSL? sort of "cost of change" debate going on here......;-) Cheers, Kev
 
Hey Kevin ....Why don't you come down to the Chetwode after the June 2 Oulton day and join the assembled GURU's for a discussion on the topic of valuation......you had to duck out last time.....this is your second chance [;)]
