Hi im new to this forum, I need some help. Im looking at the 964 RS white at 911virgin.com. from the price I assume that there is a history/story to tell. Either that or white ones are just completly unwanted. They say there is nothing to tell. Any ideas, im sure you guys know everything about the ones on sale?

Thanks Dave

Dunno what's wrong with this one, if anything. However, I know that if you want to buy a
well-known, seriously good 964RS (i.e. mine), you can drop me a note at philippe@psy.gla.ac.uk

The number should begin WPOZZZ96ZNS49 according to Laurence Gibbs 964RS Buyer's Guide --> http://www.porsche964.co.uk/variants/964_rs.htm

Was thinking about this one a little while back and the things that were pointed out to me were.

1. Non original centre section of rear PU (ie C2 part not RS) - suggests damage at some point ????
2. Non original Recaro seats - possible original leather ones got too tatty ??
3. Front PU curved upwards suggesting bottoming out (v common on RS and not nec a problem)

errrr, can't remember what else. Why don't you speak to Tech 9 or whoever it is that Henry claims used to look after it ? They should be able to tell you about any 'stories'.

RSL'S should be WPOZZZ96ZNS490001-2500, so if the H is a 4, than can confirm it's an RS.

I looked at the car a couple of weeks back. It is a bit rough and ready, being used exclusively on-track. It has had quite a lot of bodywork, much of which has been done cheaply/quickly (lots of overspray, etc).

Assuming it is fine mechanically, I think it would make a good track car. Just don't expect to win any prizes in the regional coucours.

Good luck with the search!

The best way, Dick, is to host your pictures with an online picture host, like www.photobucket.com or www.muchos.com etc
Have your pictures resized to 800 x 600 pixels.

When the pictures are loaded up, you copy the url of the picture, and host it here by putting before, paste the url, and put [img] behind it.

There is normally a yellow "picture" icon where you can simply paste the url in it, but somehow I cant find it.

Sorry to hear about the sale. Hope it finds an appreciating owner although I suspect your arm is being gnawed at as we speak! [:D]

Take care,

bert

Sorry to hear that you've definitely decided to sell Dick. The car looked beautiful when I saw her just over a week ago.
