964 UK meets and location

I've been irked somewhat at my inability to get more than 21 people at a meeting, So I've cooked up a scheme to ensure we can get this covered off, it's not exactly new, but I'm hoping that you will buy into it.

I've put a Googlemap up for collaboration, and want you all to add your locations on there please, my rationale is simple, after going over a few details with Computamedia Dave, the idea of having meets close to central locations, and moving that around to benefit all seemed like a good idea, well to me and Dave anyways.......

Once the map has been populated, we'll know where the best central point is, we can then start to evolve a series of meets spread out from place to place, and capture off many people who may have not been to one of our little gatherings before, each area must have their own small special places of hostelry or roads, and these would be an ideal opportunity to meet, eat and maybe swap/sell parts etc........

Click collaborate and add your marker...........

It's my starter for 10, please let me know how you feel about this, we all tend to get caught up in hotspots of activity, and maybe this is the time to spread out a tad.

If you do not have a google account, I or Dave can add names locations etc for you...

Regards

kevin.

So where are you all?? Rich and Ian have made the effort but I'm surprised that Melv, Des, Jason, Tat, Jeff etc. etc have yet to be seen. I know loads of the RS owners have partaken in the various meets so contributing to the map will only help arrange more such meetings in more conveneient places.

I'm sure some of you may be getting paranoid about publicising the location of your pride and joy - what with ever-increadsing values - but rest assured that the map markers are anyting but exact. We are not asking for street addresses (or even e-mail addresses although THAT would be nice) so there is no risk that some theiving scroat will locate you with any accuracy at all.

If you don't have a Google account (which you need to place your marker) just post on this thread or e-mail me at davew@computamedic.co.uk and I'll gladly add you to the map.

Regards

Dave

I did visit the map but couldn't work out how to register my details. (Probably showing my ignorance now!)

Thanks for the updates guys - they're all added on the map now. I've taken the liberty of adding Melv anyway since I know he likes to come to the meets.

Any more just post here if you don't want to brave the Google nightmare!!!

Dave

Hi Dave & Kevin,

Can't work out how to add my pointer to the map either!

I didn't get the e-mail but I've put the marker on the map.
