I have a Porsche 964 1992 model, 80k miles, full engine rebuild last year, has 993 conversion kit, drives faultless, black leather interior. Just looking at a basic ballpark figure of the value?

You could join the Club and then will have access to quite a few things - one of them is a free valuation service.

Certainty worth thinking about[8|]

Indeed. One of the best reasons to join. If you've ever seen the insurer's "book" value for our cars, an agreed-value policy is essential. [&o]

What's the value needed for? There are different prices for insurance, selling, buying etc.

Agree that it would be worth much more if it was still a 964. As it stands now it will be very difficult to value and is probably one of those values of it's worth what someone is willing to pay. At a guess I would say £20K?

I do sometimes wonder what mine would be worth. I fear if I got it valued by the club it would be less than I would be expecting due to the extent of the mods.

Just had mine re valued by the club at 24K. Its a totally standard carrera 2 with 112k miles.
That's an increase of 6k in the last two years and over 9k since I bought it.
Far better than money in the bank.

Try speaking to the best port of call The Modified Register Secretary, I am sure he can help with an appraisal FOC[:)]

Interested in this thread. I'm waiting to hear back from the club re valuation of my 996 RS and in the meantime I've bought a 964 with 60k miles. As a member am I entitled to have another valuation done and a certificate of originality sent out or are we limited to one?
Tks

Valuations are a Club thing, so as many as you need and come back to me if you have a problem! [:)]

C of A is from Porsche, so they aren't anything to do with the Club except the "free to members" offer. I'd be surprised if they refused a second request: if someone with two Porsches, a member of the Club, and obviously an enthusiast, isn't a valuable customer, who is?
