964 Weekending

This weekend I'll be having a rest from fixing/upgrading and breaking out the wax and polish for a change, in preparation for Blenheim next weekend.

Before that I'll be sticking on the reserve battery because the lack of activity over the last couple of months has run down the regular battery to the point where she's sluggish on the starter.

Anyone doing/done anything more exciting? [8D]

Nope

Attended to a couple of things that were brought up on the PPI it had recently and sweated like a pig putting another coat of vintage on it.

Dropped off my spare engine carrier and Rennline re-inforcement brace and hopefully should be welded up and powdercoated by next weekend. Will be taking the car out for a drive tomorrow just so the battery doesn't go flat - fingers crossed that it'll start without assistance :)

Had a BBQ during which i gave 20mins Porsche `experiences` for anyone who wanted. Sunny day
top-off thrills opened a few eyes to whats special about 911s. I only let one person drive the car,
my sons fiaence, who took to it very well and so i was very relaxed and encouraged her to explore
the performance.I think i have sown the seeds of another Porsche in the family there !

Well, I had a last minute arranged trip to Bournemouth on Sunday after my son had to abort his visit to us on Saturday because of a coach fire on the northbound A34.

I managed to keep up my tradition of ridding this island of wild life. After the pigeon incident on the CG visit, this time I managed to decapitate a (thankfully) already dead badger. Not without sustaining some damage, albeit it small. A quick vsiit to the bodyshop this morning got the undertray connected back to the front bumper. Thankfully, this was in the Golf, btw, not the Porsche!! Ho hum!!!

Regards

Dave
