Reconditioned set of wishbones for fitting to all 964 models bar the RS.

Typically I own a RS!

Paid £220 but will accept a lot less!

Offers invited. Someone must need some new uprated bushes on their car?

Happy New Year,

Charles

They are on ebay for £175 including £50 deposit or £125 plus old units. Just want to get shot of them now as they are lying around the garage. Someone must need these?

I must admit I'm tempted, but have no idea how good/bad mine are......and you know how it goes as soon as I say I don't need them......................

Jack car up and insert crowbar behind r/o wishbone and attachment -if it moves or bushes squidged out, they need replacing.

Hi,

It looks like the wishbones/bushes in my car are on the cards for replacement soon but having a chat to the guys at JZM they are of the opinion that cars that have had the Powerflex bushes fitted seem to suffer with "suspension creak". I'd be really interested to hear some opinions from anyone who has had the Powerflex bushes fitted just to see if this might just be a case of "OEM is best" from JZM.

Thus far I've seen no reason to not take the advice of Jonas and his crew and I was a little taken aback by their comment about the Powerflex bushes.

Opinions people???

So, I take it you haven't sold them then Charles????? [;)]

It's all on topic, so to speak.....

Can I suggest an ad on 'Members for Sale' and a pointer from here.

It's in there Melv but trying to help these guys out with their soft handling shopping trolleys ;O)

Duck!!!!

Charles,

I apologise if you felt I was hijacking - I just thought it opened up the discussion a bit. If others thought it a worthwhile change it might have the effect of improving your chances.

Regards

Dave

BTW Powerflex have no stock at present so your wishbones might be a rarity for a while.

Mel,

At the risk of being accused of hijacking again, I asked JZM to get some for my car but they were told that Powerflex had not manufacturered any for a little while and with the Christmas break and the Aurosport show recently hadn't reckoned on getting any from manufacture for 2 - 3 weeks. JZM finally agreed on fitting replacement wishbones from Porsche - it turned out about £160 more.

Regards

Dave

BTW - See you Sunday!!!

Powerflex bushes are only available from Milford Microsystems , 01865 331 552 . They are in stock .Looks like JZM are not keen!! I have run these bushes for a year with no problem.

Mine come already fitted so saves time and money!

Still available for £150 pounds plus postage.

I have been doing a bit more research on these wishbones and found that the only difference between C2 and RS is the smaller rear bush . The part numbers are the same except for the last two digits . C2 is 964-------.00, RS 964--.80 .What is really interesting is that I have been told that sometimes when RS wishbones are ordered C2 with 00 part number are supplied!!!!!!!!! Apparently there is doubt that RS ( .80 ) wishbones are still available .
If you are buying RS wishbones I would ask to see an invoice / delivery note with the RS part number.

So they will fit a RS these ones? Then Melv can buy them off me ;O)

I can keep them until they are needed.

My Porsche specialist said the wishbones are different(part nos.) but the bushes can be swapped for Powerflex which are all the same.

Looks like I will have to under the car.

Page 523 of Streather shows RS wishbone that looks identical.

Need to work out whether to keep them or give them away for silly price.
