Oulton Park. Saturday March 22.

Just got this from Colin Belton: " Anyone who has not paid Tim is now a disappointed bunny, as all places have gone and if you didn' t send a cheque to confirm the places are full. We have 38 Porsche' s going, and about 30 RS' s of varying guises. Thanks to everyone for making the effort to come out to play, and for all the maybe' s we will see you next time!"

But do come to join in the trackside fun, if you can.

Er, as someone who has paid Tim but not yet seen any confirmation, can we see a list of who' s going - would be both interesting and useful. Had a look on the Easytrack website - they are the main organisers I think, but they just list those people who booked direct with them [8|]

Update from Tim:

HI MEL. Entrants get the confirmations this week but will not usually be added to the website they all get it by snail mail! I may list the entrants on the forum in the next week or send a list to all attendees . looking forward to seeing you on the day.
regards Tim

[:(][][X(] I am going to miss it. The folding stuff just won' t allow. Never mind have fun those who are going and post lot' s of pic' s when you come back.[:)]

Hi Guys

I will be staying overnight Friday at Wickentree Farm (01928 788355) in Hatchmere. Off road parking. Intend having a bite to eat and a couple of beers at The Carriers Inn in Hatchmere, on Friday night.

See you all on Saturday!! Fingers xed this weather stays.......

Mel

Have a safe journey up Melv, I' ll be there Saturday plus whoever else is coming ??
Please do not think about the weather, its been brilliant ie dry and sunny, but wetness is always on the cards.....yeah so real drivers can still keep it on the blackstuff but those of a nervous and uninsured nature might succumb to the wiles of Druids .
Hey Lawrence, sorry to hear that finances are ruling out an early Oulton RS outing, it wont get any cheaper as the ' official ' PCGB Oulton event in October is over £100 dearer. I was down at your local track Brands last month ( 16 Feb), it was brilliant, just one other 964RS of a serious racing demeanour was present...yellow....too fast for me.;)

I fancy coming spectating on Saturday, (to get me in the mood for the start of the racing season) What time does it all kick off?

Watch out for a white 944, it' s not what it seems.

Colin Belton (the Ninemeister) has just finished installing a 350bhp Supercharged 968 engine for the Porsche Open driver who owns it. This will be it' s first shakedown on track. Please report back how it does, as I can' t make it to Oulton [:(]

Colin has done some work on mine, superb job. I belive that some of his cars are quite spectacular!
I' m not sure, but one of the lads I know might be driving one of Colins cars.
Either way I will keep a look out for it.

Nicola -8am, track most likely open 9-5.

Please make yourself known!! White 911 Cup Car amidst the RS' s.

This turned out to be a great day...a massive contingent of cars complemented by brilliant weather. As far as I know no major incidents or damage. A group picture was arranged by someone- hope it gets posted [:D] I' ve never seen so many RS' s together and on track at one place. Thanks to Colin Belton and Melv for publicising the ' unofficial' trackday.

There is a gorgeous picture of the RS' s at Oulton on www.pistonheads.com/gassing in the Porsche section. I won' t cut and paste it here as it' s quite high resolution and very large.

Sounds like a very good day and a good collection of RS' s [8D]

BTW make sure you buy a copy of this months 911 & Porsche world - it' s a bit of an RS special

Sorry couldn' t make it on Saturday, got stuck at work[:' (] Then spent the rest of the afternoon polishing Tara TP. That Zymol stuff is hard work the first time you use it. Really made a difference though.
The picture on www.pistonheads.com/gassing looks fantastic, gutted I couldn' t make it, but I' m sure you all had a fantastic time. [:D]

It was a great day, nice to see that some regular cyberspace dwellers really do exist (hi, Oldtimer). thanks to Tim & all who organised - especially whoever was responsible for the weather!

Hi Oldtimer
sorry was' nt me at Brands. I may have been there that day (been spectating a bit) but not out on track. My last trip to brands was in a freinds 993 RS. An Evo day @ £50 was great fun, but a passenger once again. Hope to make amends by doing Spa (again)[:)] and the Nurburgring in May[:D]. 23rd May - 24th the ring and 26th at Spa with Autotrack £175 per day(those of you thinking of going get your booking in NOW as days are almost full). Hope a few others come along. Mel will vouch just how much fun Spa is[:)]. Staying at Roannay for Spa.

Also hope to do something before then. But it' s not looking likely. Want to see how my new set up behaves! I very jealous of all those who did Oulton. Looks as if it went well.
