964RS in Hong Kong

Hi,

I have briefly defected from the 993RS register. I used to live in Hong Kong and saw several 964RS Touring spec fars there, with rear seats and sunroofs! They were definitely genuine RS's, not replicas. Were any in that spec sold in the UK?

There are some nice cars there .... rubystone a favourite with the Chinese .... other rumour from my secret agent in HK is an unregistered 964RS (white) factory test miles only changed hands in a card game recently ....[&:]

My 964RS touring does not have rear seats. I believe there are 7 RHD 964RS tourings in the UK, 6 of which have sunroofs, one has air-con.

Chris there is some kit in Asia .. HK, Japan etc etc that is so special you would come home BLIND! Why do you think the 993RS has gone there? Why everytime a special car emerges it is from Asia ... Signal Green mint 993 RS N-GT!!!! It's all true ....

Look at the garage floor ! [:D]
That's a dealers showroom floor. The green 993RS was originally sold by H&S - I remember the car on the internet when I was looking for mine. I wasn't looking for a CS so I passed on it. It was quite cheap at the time but the the dealer in Japan wanted 140K Euros[]

It is a CS ... Clubsport N-GT FiA RS M003 and 140k Euro f***ing cheap when you compare to a new Kettle ...

There is also some fantastic looking machinery in Asia that is not quite what it purports to be.

Seen the VG clubbie in the metal. When I was in there I was told that the car had just been sold to some one in the UK. That was two years ago. Got no idea whether it was sold or if it is still there - anybody any ideas?

Also had minty 964 Clubsport which was probably the best value car in there. Delivery miles 964 RS carpet in guards red was obscenely clean and obscenely expensive at the time. No doubt cheap now.

Chris....yes the showroom floor is VERY shiny.

When I was out in HK in 2009 I tried to buy a Rubystone Touring but could not do a deal on the car. The specification was identical to that of the UK Touring cars. I doubt the Tourings sold in HK were any different to the UK cars.

Happy to be proven wrong on the above.
