964RS Touring

Unusual that its a Touring with the "comfort" seats removed and a roll cage fitted? Are they original seats available with the car I wonder?[8|]

From the various bits and pieces I have read over the past couple of years, I believe there were 76 964RS Tourings manufactured, of which approx.16 were RHD and approx.60 were LHD. Of the 16 RHD, 7 were UK registered cars. Presumably the other right hookers were registered in places such or S.A. or HK? I think the car in question was sold at auction ealier this year, I recall a thread on this forum. On the face of it, £33k looks like a good buy given the low mileage and rarity of the vehicle. It's certainly worth more if it comes with the original seats etc too.

Yes it does look like the one that was sold earlier.

The above numbers will be about right but I really can't place this car in any scheme of things.

Clubsport type seats, full cage (of sorts), and the rest Touring ?

Why wouldn't one at least start with a Lightweight ?

'Could always make it back into a Touring --- if the bits could be found ?

Then what would it be worth ?

Assuming it's a good straight car ?
