Hope you enjoy the pics. First few are of my car and then later on I have included pics of the other 964's there on the day (think we had 8 or 9 in total) including a nice yellow RS and blue Cup car

It was a great day out on track - very quiet and lots of Porsche enthusiasts giving their pride and joy the beans!

Really great pictures. I can't wait to get my new purchase now.
It's on lowering springs already that were put on on 05 but I'm thinking in time may need some Bilsteins

No lap times unfortunately but tbf i am not very fast. Its great fun though!! [:D] How is the new Velvet Red car coming along?

David your new purchase looks very tidy indeed for a reasonable price (in the current 964 market). My car has the KWV3 coilovers and cant complain. They are very good

Hello Andrew many tks. I spotted it and thought it was also well priced so snapped it up over the phone.
The dealer is currently carrying out a good deal of work on it FOC including steering pipes, oil pressure switch housing  etc etc , the engine itself is very dry with none of the usual crankcase oil leaks  associated with these cars fortunately.
There is a G Pipe being fitted as well.
Im keen to get to know the 964 register a little better with some meets and drive outs and if poss some track events thou I have a gt3 to use for that as well. The '6 964's went to Spa' trip looked brilliant so I've my eye on that for next year. I'll be asking plenty of questions about my 964 when I see it on here. Infact I've been asking boxsey lots already over on PH.
The cars on lowering springs which were added not long ago but maybe some fresh dampers are a good idea as well.
What should I be looking at With regards to these?
Tks David

tbh Boxsey is your man for 964 advice. He knows his onions.

I think Rennlist is more active for 964 things. Just today I was out with about 15 964's for a meet at Guildford and we then drove out for lunch. I will get some pics up soon. If you are anywhere around London this is a great mob of enthusiasts and a fun day out. They tend to be once a mth.

Spa was great and next year will be better. Hope you can make it.

I spotted that thread on Renn list earlier this week but I'm on hols at mo and not got the car yet anyway but will endevour to get involved! Cheers in advance for help.
Re the car it turns out the last owner had the car meticulously looked after mechanically but JZM and prior to that the other 3 owners kept it serviced every year so after Portiacraft have fettled with some bits it should be just about perfect.
The dampers I'll look into when I get home from holidays. Cheers

i think for the price paid you have done very well indeed!!!

Once I have the car I'll be posting pics and running reports so hopefully it'll be full of praise for Portiacraft as well
Tks Andrew

Nice one Andrew... Of course no lap times though..(?) [;)]

The fastest 964 was Paul's cup car at something like 1.22 for the best laps. You'll be able to work out what a normal C2 can do from my video [;)]

Thanks for asking Andrew. Sort of nearly over the self-punishment and saying goodbye to the grey one. Have an arrangement with RPM Technik to swap all best parts over to the new velvet red C4. Ollie at RPM sold the old engine for me in less than 3 hours of agreeing to sell! Being rebuilt for someone else for a supercharged C4 project. Once all the swap overs are done the grey car will gradually be taken apart - many parts I'll keep, others up on eBay (via RPM). Pic below shows both during transplant surgery as we speak. When done I'll post up other pics and info.

looks good mate. Some of your old car will be very valuable. I know the front wings etc are becoming very expensive for people looking for them if required due to rust on their car. Its good news that you can make some money off the old car to put into the new one. Supercharged C4 would be an interesting drive!
