Hi guys,

I have just purchased the above car after having a 964 carrera 2. I am so excited, I feel like a small child again on christmas eve, I need to get a grip. How Sad!

A quick question on my new car what is the button or swith built into the carpet in the footwell on the left handside of my feet in the centre consol, there are no details in the manual.

Thanks

Paul,

I'm pretty sure it's a defeat switch for the interior alarm sensors. If you leave anyone in the car and lock/alarm it the switch prevents movement in the car from setting off the alarm.

Regards

Dave

Welcome to the 964 turbo fold! You must of course provide pictures and details.

If you haven't already, then the 964 turbo forum on Rennlist is extremely useful and just about any question that you have, can be or has been asnwered on there.

I don't know anyone who drives a 965 who calls it a 964 turbo.
This is the modern reality, please lets not get pedantic.

PS: Baker, congartulations. Now, we need pictures.

Will post some pics in a few weeks just getting some work done at the moment. I need a bumper painting after it had a small scratch.

Thanks

Hey Vince,

Long time, no see. How's your car going?

Cheers,

Tim.

Baker,

Check out the Rennlist North Wales Runs on the 964 Forum (use the search function) i'm sure they'll be starting up again. Used to be 964 based but will now be a varied bunch - GT3's, GT2, my 3.6T, 964's

Good thanks, I was hoping that I would have had it lowered by now but the HR parts were on the wrong side of the channel (apparently). MOT tomorrow and then should get out at the 964 breakfast meet on Sunday, I think Mark and Phil are going.
You've been having some work completed yourself I hear, all ok I hope.
Catch up at PCGB HQ in April.

cheers
Vince

Vince,
definitley up for 1st sunday April, although there is a Goodwood breakfast, so we're thinking of doing that for a change. Either way, should be able to get a "gaggle" of turbos together (you'll get the joke!)

Tim,
with all this free time you have now, can you get a pass to Goodwood? Besides your car needs some 'running in'...

baker07 - sorry for the thread hijack!

Vince - glad your car is running well. Yes, I have just spent nearly £11k on mine on a top end rebuild, new headers, turbocharger, clutch, flywheel and wastegate. Thankfully - it's running beautifully!

Mark - I'll be able to get away for Goodwood/Cornbury on the 6th April but probably not Easter Monday as I have the outlaws staying.

Cheers,

Tim.
