Like you guys I go on the model forum (ie. for me 964) but surely this site is more specific for turbo unique issues....
No disrespect intended but this particular thread was looking for 965'ers (yeh, I know 964 turbos).
Latest update, there are now 5 of us!!
Any more?

Hi Tim,
I was counting on you.
Another 3.3 from West London has contacted me, so that's 5 now! Photo opportunity
We'll aim to arrive around 11.
Mark
Ensure the images are decent quality ( 5 meg or more ), send them to me with a bit of copy ( or just captions ), and we'll get them included in Porsche Post!
Have fun

Don't worry - it's not you!! There never really was a 965 - it was a number used for a car which never made the light of day. It's just that many of the parts (P/N 965.xxx.xxx.xx) are used on the 964 Turbo II and Turbo 3.6 and they seem to be generically called "965s". It's a very handy way to identify the Turbo varieties of the 964 without resorting to the long winded forms.
Hope that sorts it out.

But i thought the 3.6 964 turbo was called a turbo II ???
And the 3.3 964 Turbo called just, well, 964 Turbo ????

There are many, many 3.3 Turbo 964s which are advertised as Turbo II but I don't think it was ever used officially. The original 964 Turbo (in 1991) was called exactly that. The Turbo S came a little later, the Turbo 2S was a US special, the Turbo 3.6 in 1993 and a very rare Turbo 3.6S. Just to confuse, the 993 Turbo introduced 4WD and was referred to as the Turbo 4!!!
I bet that confuses it even more now!!!

..plus you can add 3.3 or 3.6 to each, depending on your engine size. I wonder if we hold the record for number of names for our cars?
Back on topic re. Sunday - my camera is only 3 megapixels as well, so I can't help either but it would be good to get some pictures in PP. Anyone else?
Cheers,
Tim.
