965 turbo lag

Hi Guys,

Was after some advice with regards to reducing some of the turbo lag. I wanted to keep my car fairly standard so was just thinking of a exhaust upgrade or change the air filter etc. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is best and also what sort of increases in bhp that they might give the car.

Thanks

Paul

1. Cat bypass (or sports cat) will help low end. Maybe 12 bhp. (£250-£650)
2. Silencer bypass: G-pipe or swans neck, not scientific, but I swear it helps response (£100-250).
3. Headers (£1200-£2500) best for reducing lag. 25bhp?

PS: Why haven't we seen you at any 965 gatherings?

Sorry,

I have just got back off holiday this morning at 7am. Night time flight always a nightmare. I am looking forward to meeting at the next gathering. When is the next 965 meet.

Thanks

Paul

I agree with Mark. The headers probably make the biggest difference to lag. There's a group buy on Rennlist at the moment for 965 headers for around £500 from the US - see here:

Mark - you sound like a headmaster!
