Hi Guys,

Just wanted to know if anyone knew any websites or infomation with regards to history of the 965 turbo.

Information like numbers produced, what the car came with or what colours were available. Just any interesting data or info about the car. I now have the porsche bug big time this is my fourth porsche but i think its the most exciting.

Or know if I can get an original sales brochure anywhere. The car I purchased had one previous keeper and has all its service invoice as well as the original invoice.

Thanks

Paul

They are great cars aren't they!

I have spent an enormours amount of time finding all about them. I started by buying Adrian Streather's Porsche 911 (964): 1989-944 Enthusiast's Companion. That will give you loads of information on the 965 including options, colours, production numbers, VINs etc, etc. You can buy it for £30 from Amazon:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Porsche-911-Enthusiasts-Companion-1989-1994/dp/0837602939

I have the 964 Sales Brochure from 1991 which includes the 965. I picked mine up on eBay for about £5.

I have learnt an awful lot about 965's via the Rennlist 964 Turbo forum.

Here's mine:

Not a great Bible JBL.....I can't even see the 964 turbo 3.6 listed....and apparently TVR made no Wedges or the V8S models in the 1980's [8|] - a few omissions, or perhaps there another page or two I can't see?

Hi Mike
I've heard it referred to as the bible for info on Porsches, i've never even used it myself, just thought i'd post a link as it might of been a bit of help.

Mike, how come we haven't seen you at any 965 meets? Are you a new owner?
Drop me a pm with your email addy if you want to be added to the list....

Mark,

I think Mike has had his 965 longer than most of us! His was the black 965 at Cornbury House we saw in December 2006 and he was also at Ragley I believe.

Cheers,

Tim.

Guys

I've had the 3.6t now for a few years - since 05 as my sign-off says. I don't get "out and about" as much as I'd like in it, especially last year - a combination of (a) busy at work; (b) a 6-year-old son who loves the car but gets travel sick [&:] if I use the car as it was intended [8|]; and (c) losing most of the first half of the year preparing for my participation in last Summer's Peking to Paris Classic Endurance Rally (in a 1955 Land Rover, not the 911) .

This year, looking to make-up lost time. Just had the car serviced and sorted for a few track days, Club events & trips (Classic Le Mans, etc) [:)].

(By the way it's Midnight Blue)

Hope to see you out and about - going to Silverstone Classic?

Would love to compare my 3.8RS blue compared to your Cobalt sometime.

I am currently preparing a website for the 964 3.6 turbo , which will include a lot of general information.
The main feature will be an owners register - more details very soon !!
