968 Cab Classic Insurance

Hi there,

This is my first post as a prospective 968 owner.

I am hoping to purchase a 1994 968 Cab and to insure it under a classic car policy. (It is just over 10 years old).

My existing 944 S2 insurance is with Royal and Sun Alliance - Grandstand 2000 policy - but they now require the car to be 15 years old. Carole Nash wouldn't quote either as the car is 'too new and valuable'.

I will phone around but can anyone please recommend an appropriate company/broker.

Many thanks

Christopher

You may well find that normal insurance works out cheaper in the long run than classic, I know it did for me.

Suggest you go over to the forum at http://www.porsche968uk.co.uk/phpbb/index.php where there was a long debate about insurance. The spread of prices and conditions was a real eye opener. [8|]

I got mine renewed with Heritage insurance under a classic policy back in May. You could try them.
