I am having real problems finding a new front bumper for my car, if anyone can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,

I suggest that you get recent copies of Porsche Post & 911 and PorscheWorld. Select all the breakers and used parts suppliers you can find, e-mail each one and wait.

(I assume you do not want to buy a new one from an OPC? or are they now discontinued? nb the guy at the Exeter OPC has a reputation for being most helpful, try him)

Thanks for that I phoned today and spoke to a guy called Adrian, he was extremely helpful and i think i'll probably end up getting one from them, Although I'm just going to give it a couple of days to see if i can get a second hand one although i think that the chances are slim because as every breaker I have phoned up to now has reminded me "they don't reverse into things"

Adrian quoted me £585 + vat which when compared to the fibre glass alternative at £300 + vat seems quite reasonable? the worst of it is, is that my bumper could have been repaired it only had a little knock[] but in the quest for perfection I threw my old one away[8|]

Thanks for the advice, and after the service I had I will definatly be trying opc exeter first for all my future bits.

david,
club autosport do a fibreglass copy of the front bumper (£300 +vat I think?) infact they do copies of all the panels for the 968. I don't know what the quality is like but i can't see it being as good as original parts? the only reason i would probably put one on my car is maybe for track days if i ever pluck up courage to do one.

Kind regards,

Ant.

Thanks Paul,
I will do, just need to get over those initial nerves I raced two stroke gearbox karts for a few years so it's not so much being on the track it's more being on the track in my car. but I really do want do one soon so I'll keep my eyes peeled.

Anthony.
