968 horns

Hi All
Can anyone tell me exactly where the horns are situated on a 1993 968 coupe and now to access them?
Many thanks in advance. J.C.

From memory. I think they are located behind the front PU, more specifically the passenger side corner...
Not the easiest thing to access...

Just passenger side of centre, behind PU, and from the couple of photos I have it looks like PU off to access them! They're behind the metal bumper and in front of the radiators, if you drop the front undertray you may be able to see them from underneath but I would not fance trying to access them without removing the PU.

Hi Big Dave and Chris Hazle many thanks for your replys.
I shall investigate further at the weekend.

John ...... but why do you want to get into there? If it is not working, are you sure all is OK with the horn push itself and the fuse?

Hi Paul,
The horns are not working, i have checked the horn push ,fuse and relay and can find no obvious fault,so i thought the next step would be the horns themselvs. I understand that there is a earth on the steering columb which i have not checked yet ,that will be the next step. Any other ideas will be welcome. Thanks for your post John C.

you can make out the horns here:

One of the horns went on mine - corrosion/lack of earth. Bought some plastic ones from ebay - high/low pitch, quite inexpensive.
