Hi,
Are there any other 968 owners in Scotland?
Do we have any gatherings or events up here?

I would love to get together with other owners for a drive, food and chat.

George

Yes. I'm in Edinburgh area. There are a few areas in the NE and a couple in Glasgow area that I know about. Happy to meet up.

Thin on the ground on the 968uk owners map - 1 in Alness, 1 in Inverurie, 2 in Aberdeen and 1 in Larkhall!

I'm from the Stirling area, I try to get along to most of the car shows during the summer although family commitments have restricted this somewhat last year.

I'm the person in Larkhall (968 White ClubSport), only bought it end of last year.
Some kind of meet would be good, I've also been to Porsche in the Glen the last couple of years even though I was Porscheless, more because I know a few of the guys from Pistonheads Scotland runs.

Hi Dumpster,

I`m just up the road from you in Blackwood with a polar silver 968 sport.
I think that I may have spotted you recently heading in to Blackwood and at the Garrion Bridges. I`ve also spotted a red 968 in Lanark and on the M74 a couple of years back.
I`m up for a meet if one is planned.

Cheers.

Cameron

Hi Guys

If I am not going to step on any goes I would be happy to arrange a meet for us possibly every 2 or 3 month.

Suggestions for this first one are...

Porsche Glasgow

Stirling castle

Balloch Loch Lomond shores

Votes please ???

Or suggestions.

Aye George

Hi George,

All good suggestions, I'll happily travel to any of those places and go with the majority vote.

Amazing you are only a few miles away, I've not seen a 968 anywhere in years. Even when I went to Porsche in the Glen, more than 100 Porsche and no 968's. I probably would have been in Blackwood as like to go a run Blackwood to Strathaven to Muirkirk and further on to Douglas and Wanlockhead if I have time.
I'd be up for a meet sometime at any of the venues as long as there is some reasonable coffee.
Ian

Hi Ian,

Wanlockhead is one of my routes too.

As for a meet I would also go for any of the suggestions.

I went down to the Hartech meet which Ken organised last year and there were about seven 968 s there.

Even when the cars were new they were quite a rare sight.

Cheers,

Cameron

There are a couple of us in Kinross. Why not just come along to the Dakota last Thursday in the month at South Queensferry?
