I have just purchased (in the process of) a 968 Sport and was wondering if it could be insured as a classic?? I have been told that some companies will class cetain cars as classics? Any ideas???

Failing that whos competitive on 968's at the moment, been having quotes of just over £700 so far........

Congratulations on your new purchase[:)][:)]

I tried all the specialists and the usual insurance companies and found Performance Insurance 08700 469 027 (also know as Mayfair) to be the cheapest. They class the car as a classic and I pay £571 for a 5000 mile policy and they didnt need to use my NCB.

I am under 30 so many of the specialists would not cover me but I think I have a good deal. They dont offer track cover though.

I have now had a quote for £596, I'm only 25 so thats not bad! I still have a week to go to better it, so I will keep trying, but I must get some work done in between!

Thanks for all the contacts, have tried them all and Classic Line 01455 639000 have come up with the best quote, £389 for a 5000 mile policy! Happy days! Doesn't use my NCB so hopefully I can get a rebate on the Golf Insurance by applying them to that!

Hi , I got a good quote from 'Tescos' , just over £500 FC and no limited mileage. All I need to do now is find a 968 Sport !!

cheers, Paul
