Hello would anybody on here be able to PM me with the Porsche part number for solid discs(non drilled) that fit the 968 please, the car has mo30 brakes.
Thanks in advance[:D]

The 928 S4 front disc part numbers are 928.351.043.60 & 928.351.044.60. These are the only front discs listed in the PET for the S4.

There's a thread on the 968uk site http://www.porsche968uk.co.uk/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=6796 which has a link http://www.jackals-forge.com/lotus/968cs/968_brakeupgrades.htm to an excellent report on this subject. Here's an extract, plus his version of the part numbers.

"Out of the useable discs, the factory OEM option is to use proper cross drilled M030 discs. These look the part but are hideously expensive at over 200 pounds each plus vat. A cheaper and common option is to use OEM 928 S4 non-cross drilled discs which come in at around half the price. After that there are various non cross drilled after market discs from the likes of zimmerman and sebro... Eurocarparts.com is your friend here. Sebro do make an inexpensive but elusive cross drilled disc but you might have to wait decades for them to arrive in stock anywhere."

PART NUMBERS M030 caliper 928-351-421-03 928-351-422-03 BIG RED caliper 993-351-425-10 993-351-426-10 BIG BLACK caliper 928-351-423-03 928-351-424-03 993tt discs 993-351-045-10 993-351-046-10 993rs discs 993-351-045-00 993-351-046-00 928 GTS discs 928-351-045-01 928-351-046-01 964 3.6 Turbo discs (965) 965-351-045-00 965-351-046-00 968 M030 discs 965-351-041-01 965-351-042-01 928 S4 discs 928-351-045-01 928-351-046-01

I notice his numbers for the S4 discs are different from JM1962's! Can't say why as I don't have the PET for the S4, but I've checked the PET for the 968 and his numbers for the M030 calipers and discs are correct. Sorry the list of part numbers is hard to read but the formatting for the table disappeared when I pasted it in.

FWIW I had EMC sort my brakes out (plate lift all round) with a mix of new rear and serviceable used front calipers, all standard, and Kevin said to fit the Sebro front discs - much cheaper than the OEM ones and just as good in use, apart from the faster wear rate, which doesn't matter for a car which does a restricted mileage. Good advice and the performance of the brakes is outstanding, both on the road and on the very occasional trackday. Might be worth a price check with ECP.

I've got Sebro's discs fitted on all four corners of my car.

As said above, they're a very good disc and certainly match OEM for quality.

Sorry to harp on about brake discs!!!
From reading an article on the Internet I have come to the conclusion that 968 mo30 fitment solid discs are the same as 944 turbo s discs, would I be right in this deduction,if so that will save me a packet!!!( I already have some skimmed sets from last season)
Can someone confirm this?
Thanks in advance[:)]

Thanks Dave,much appreciated!
One last question!
Are the callipers the same ie are 968 M030 callipers the same as 944 turbo M030 and same pads etc?????

They sure are.....
The only possible difference could be in the calliper piston dust seals. There are 2 different types.
The ones to have are the later 944T or 968 M030 versions, as if you need to replace them they are cheaper. The early 928S4 / 944T versions have a slightly different seal arangement. Just ask Paul F....
Is the race car build coming along nicely.?
Hope youve now made a good saving....?
