The Coupe was the first version, fully equipped with power windows, power seats, hi fi, climate control, (air con was an option) and with 16" wheels (with 17" an option). It was expensive, and being launched in 1992 it did not sell particularly well.
The Club Sport was a stripped out version of the coupe, with lightweight Recaro seats, no rear seats, manual window winders, and generally less kit hence lighter weight. It was mechanically identical, except that it was 20mm lower and came on standard 17" wheels. It was also a lot cheaper. Purist sporting car, or marketing excercise to shift sales on a slow moving car? You decide.
Porsche GB noticed that a lot of Club Sport buyers were optioning back soem of the missing kit, so they got a UK market model anly called the Sport. This was in essence a Club Sport deluxe, as it retained the 17" wheels and lowered chasis, but put in comfort seats, rear seats, electric windows, etc. It was priced mid way between the Coupe and the Club Sport.
Motoring journos of the day tended to make a big fuss over the Club Sport, while ignoring the Coupe, which has given rise to the urban legend that the CS is actually more than it really is. Those of us who actually own one of these cars will tell you that the coupe is probably under-rated ... but then I'm biased! []
Hope this helps.

I have heard (but you can tell me for real!) that a fair few of the earlier CS's had increased spec's from owners adding back the toys ? i.e. causing Porsche to intro the Sport.. I think ?
so does that mean a fair number of CS's out there have things like a/c or elec windows, etc ?
Also were the colour of CS's limited ? i.e. I only have ever seen red, yellow, light blue or white.... rather I have not seen enough ?

If you are looking for a more unusual specification, I reckon you are more likely to find it on a Sport or Coupe than on a Club Sport.
