Is there a register kept of all the 968's kept by PCGB members?

If so, can someone tell me who I need to report the newest member of our family to?

Thanks

Welcome to the fold.

Stu (K300) is the 968 Secretary and the guru on all things 968. I believe you can go to the main site and download a form that can used to register your car (I am sure Stu will confirm). It would be good to know a bit about your car.

Have you looked at the 968 webiste run by Stu http://www.porsche968uk.co.uk. It is a great place to find out about the model and buy lots of parts for servicing and upgrading your car. The forum is an excellent place too and we are a friendly bunch.

Well as long as you behave yourself[:D]

Not sure I can promise that! [:D]

Thanks for the welcome. I've had a good pore round the 968 site - better get myself registered so I can bore you with all the banal questions i'm bound to have.

In the meantime, the only thing about the car i'm not happy with is that it's not got the bucket seats in it. If anyone knows of any going in Guards Red i'd appreciate it. Don't really want to put anything but the original seats into the car.

Cheers

Dawn

Crikey, talk about bad timing for the bucket seats - Andrew (968CSReading) sold some but a few days ago! They are like gold dust, Dawn. Welcome to the gang though!

David, your right.

If I had known I could have put the price up and started a bidding war.[:D]

Dawn, Recaro some good seats for the 968. There are plenty of posts on the 968 site because James (a fellow 968CS owner) works there.

I thought he was sales director! Regardless, that is some commitment to sales, buying a 968 just so you can flog a few bucket and baby seats!

Hi Guys Sorry no history or file or handover am starting 968 register from scratch if any one has any useful info gratefully appreciated. Since my last posting I have acquired a narrow type m/bike looking Boxster spare wheel/y tyre comes inflated 50mph max and is a T105/95 R17 90M CST 17 runs 60psi. Someone with a 968 must have been their before me as I reckon the original spare you have to inflate in an emergency is pretty naff. This alternative drops into the spare wheel well but stands proud so you need to roll over the carpet at the top where the boot lid shuts. Your comments please... PS Register Display Day Calke Abbey Sept 8th am trying to have a specialist along as a car clinic on our cars, what does Paul McNulty reckon to that idea ? seems like FrontRunners might go for it rgds Ken Coad

Well done with the new position!

Once I find a 968 I will probably be bothering you for information!

What does a register secretary get access to?

Can you get copies of the original build sheets, order forms or other interesting things for owners who are members (if you know what I mean!)???

Once you have your car, one of the benefits of club membership is a free Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche - which gives build completion date, date of first registration and a list of factory fitted options.

Thats actually rather cool.

Do you just get one per membership? I am planning on buying a 968 and a 993 would I get one for each of them?

Hi Chris,

As a club member through the web site & other sources you can get access to Porsche's PET web sit which has by model the parts list breakdown schematics showing virtually all parts, nuts, bolts, screws washers etc and how they fit with other parts!

It's also relativly easy to find and download the parts catalogue, including the separate seats catalogue, from the Porsche website. Google E_968_Katalog.pdf and E_STZ_KATALOG.pdf.
