968 tiptronic red light

My 968 coupe tiptronic red dash warning light came on recently. I had drive and reverse but could not get tiptronic gears and the drive would not change up or down automatically. I left it for a few hours and when i re-started it, it was fine and has been fine ever since (that was about 4 weeks ago). Any ideas ?

I've had similar problem on my 964 (1990) several times. Charging the battery cures the problem every time so never had to really worry about it.

Agree with that, if only the electricity for the battery charger was free then it would be a result.[:)]
