Hi all

How much will I have to pay for the above 993, av mileage, clean condition etc

I believe they only produced 157 vehicles in 98, but dont know how many where on an 's' plate

4 s preferred model

Thanks

s reg must be very late - mine is R reg - May 98 and was a UK spec car ordered direct from the factory and collected personally - I believe most UK dealers were selling 996s by early 98 so an S plate is unusual, but other than a small premium for one of the last air cooled its no different from any other varioram 993 so condition, mileage and service history will determine price

There were 58 "S" models in 98 (not S reg, S models!)- see http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=177223

That's a high proportion of the 98 production - which makes sense given that any ordinary punter looking to buy a 911 would go for a 996 that year, it's only the people who knew what they were looking for who would still have been ordering 993s, and they would have wanted the special cars.

I guess there must be a few S reg as there were a couple of 993s built in 1999 so production was obviously still happening in late '98
