New member
Just configured a 981 Boxster in white, red hood, natural red full leather, 19 s wheels, crested wheel centres, sports tail pipe, top tint, mats, wind deflector, seat heating, cruise control, mobile phone prep, sports design steering wheel, auto dimming mirror/ rain sensor, electric folding mirrors, park assist f/r, light design pack, power steering plus, third year warranty/assistance.

Came out at just over £45k.

Waiting for a changeover price on my 987 gen 2.

Sounds very nice.
Trick is not to over spec. You never really get any more for a fully speced car trade in time just easy to sell on, and the next owner will benefit of course.
Worth asking them to throw in the mats for free if putting a deposit down.[;)]

Always do spec it for myself [8D]

Of course!

It always annoys me when I hear that a Salesman advised not to spec X, Y or Z because "it will be difficult to sell/trade in" - who is the person buying it for?

The other thing is that you might like it so much that you keep it instead - as I did!

As Tracy's car is her everyday car she has to change it every 3 years otherwise the mileage gets excessively high and too much wear and tear. Not that she needs any excuse for a change [:D]

Don't spec for the next owner, spec it how you want it [:D]

I agree totally with Mark.

I gave up trying to find my "ideal spec" second-hand Cayman, bit the bullet and purchased new so that I could tick all the appropriate boxes.

2 years on and no regrets at all..!

Definitely spec as you want and keep it as long as possible to get the value, a well or highly specked car will always sell.

After all if a car has things you don't want to use you don't have to use them.

Don't worry about specs, £20500 for my car, what a kick in the b******s!

I'm going to keep it for now.

I can't justify virtually giving a car away with only 10k on the clock.

that is a bit of a b**mer steve

i lost nearly £30k on my cayman s after 3yrs and 15k miles.shant be doing that again(linda says[:D])
